Welcome To The Bakers Arms

Somerford Keynes, Cirencester, Glos, GL7 6DN

The Bakers Arms is a pretty chocolate-box Cotswold pub to be found four miles south of Cirencester, built from the distinctive honey coloured stone of the area.  Somerford Keynes is in the Cotswold Water Park and Keynes Park Beach is only a short distance away, as are the Thames Path and the Cotswold Way.

Dating back to about the 17th Century, as the name implies, the pub did have a bakery once, and also a shop.

The cosy bar has low beamed ceilings with an inglenook fireplace.  Food is served either in the bar area or in the characteristic restaurant overlooking the patio and large garden to the rear. We can cater for parties large and small, but it is advisable to book in advance, particularly over weekends to avoid disappointment.
There is a large car park with two secure and enclosed garden areas, one with a children's play area.  Families with children and dogs are all welcome.

All our food is home cooked and freshly prepared by our chefs, using local suppliers where possible.  We keep a selection of lagers and ciders, and four cask ales - typically Stroud Brewery's Budding, Courage Best, Butcombe and a Guest Ale.

The pub is open all day from 12.00 noon. Food is served daily from 12 noon till 9.00 pm, except Sundays. Sunday lunch is served from 12 noon till 3.30 pm.  There is no food service on Sunday evenings during the autumn and winter months apart from during holiday periods.

On Sunday of Bank Holiday Weekend, 6th May, we will be serving Sunday Lunch from 12 to 3.30pm, and there will be an evening food service from 6pm - 8pm.  The pub will be open to serve drinks until 9pm.
